Ed Hanley began his tabla (north Indian classical percussion) training in Toronto, Canada with Ritesh Das in 1989, and has since studied with master drummers Swapan Chaudhuri, Anindo Chatterjee, Suresh Talwalkar, Subhajyothi Guha, Trichy Sankaran and Karaikudi Mani.

Ed is co-artistic director of critically acclaimed world music ensemble Autorickshaw.
